Dolly Parton can now add pet couture to her ever-expanding list of entrepreneurial endeavors.
The country music icon, actress, literacy advocate and serial philanthropist recently launched “Doggy Parton,” a clothing and toy line for pups that also features accessories, collars and leashes, WATE-TV reported.
“‘Puppy Love’ was my very first record and 6 decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever. This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flare,” Parton wrote in a message to shoppers visiting the Amazon sales page.
“Part of the proceeds will support Willa B Farms, a rescue where animals in need find never-ending love. Don’t we all need that?” she added.
According to WATE, the farm in Old Hickory, Tennessee, is a grassroots nonprofit that helps horses, pigs, chickens, tortoises and “everything in between.”
Meanwhile, Doggy Parton also offers an array of human-sized T-shirts featuring Parton, including one that quotes a saying popular across social media, “In a World Full of Jolenes Be a Dolly,” the TV station reported.
Although Parton’s public and private projects are too lengthy to list, Parton is most often associated with “Dollywood,” the theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the Dolly Parton Baking Collection and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which helps children worldwide gain access to books, WATE reported.
