First weekend of October jam-packed with local events

‘Signature’ events headlined by the 40th Jazz Festival throughout Downtown Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, Fl — Fall in NE Florida is typically busy with community-oriented events, football, music and more. This first weekend of October is one of those ‘signature’ weekends with several major events, headlined by the 40th Jazz Festival throughout Downtown Jacksonville.

The Fall Home and Patio Show is at the Prime Osborn Convention Center Thursday - Sunday. It’s also the first full weekend of Hamilton at the Times Union Center.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre features The Revivalists on Thursday and Flogging Molly on Sunday.

The Florida Theatre will feature Little River Band on Friday, and Leonid and Friends/The Music of Chicago on Sunday.

Family-friendly fun can be found at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds both Saturday and Sunday at the Lego Fan Expo.

Guy Harvey Outpost Resort on St. Augustine Beach is hosting Pups & Sups events Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2, 2021, featuring the “Hang 20″ surf competition, a pet costume contest, and a Yappy Hour — all for the pups, and all to benefit K9s for Warriors.

The annual Donna 5K at TPC Sawgrass is Saturday morning. Then in the afternoon the River City Pride Parade rolls through Riverside.
